Eastern States Paving, Inc. has been in business since 1998. Specializing in many different forms of commercial unit paving; such as interlocking concrete pavers, brick pavers, hydraulically pressed slabs, asphalt block pavers, and permeable pavers.
Sand Setting Bed:
Sand-set pavers are the most common and cost-effective method of unit paver installation. A sand setting bed is appropriate for both pedestrian and vehicular traffic. The system relies upon developing interlock in the paving course, which is generated by friction between the pavers and the jointing sand. This enables the pavers to function as part of the structural pavement system.
Bituminous Setting Bed:
Bituminous set pavers are appropriate for both pedestrian and vehicular traffic. The bituminous setting bed bonds the pavers to the base to resist horizontal movement and uplift. The pavers are adhered to the setting bed with a neoprene adhesive. A tack coat of emulsified or cutback asphalt is typically used between the base and setting bed in vehicular applications. This application requires either a binder course or concrete base.
Pedestal Set Applications:
Pedestal set paver systems can be used to create walkways, pool decks, and terraces over roof surfaces. The pedestal application allows for the leveling of uneven roof surfaces and easy drainage of water.
Permeable interlocking concrete pavement (PICP) is a durable cost-effective solution to stormwater runoff. The system consists of brick or concrete pavers with stone-filled joints or voids that allow water to flow into highly permeable, open-graded bedding, base, and subbase aggregates.
Mechanical installation of concrete pavers improves productivity, which reduces project costs. With the equipment necessary to mechanically install pavers, large projects can be completed quickly.
We have completed projects in over 30 different states. With two office locations in Pennsylvania and Oregon, travel is not an issue.
